Coming from humble beginnings, Logan was adopted from a rescue group by Bridget and Tony Meadows in the fall of 2003. He was immediately adored by his new family, and extended family and friends. His sweet disposition, hilarious fits of energy, and toothy grin made him a star wherever he went.

After Bridget began working for a petfood company in 2005, Logan reaped all the benefits. Soon after Bridget's promotion and move to Nashville in 2006, Logan became a fixture at the corporate office. His natural charisma and classic doggy smile won him even more fans. He has been featured in several profiles on Bridget's company, including office artwork, local print and TV news, and a nationwide coupon ad campaign.

For 5 years, he was their only baby. Then in 2008, he was joined in the household by Darcy, his new baby sister. While Bridget and Tony have adjusted well to parenthood, they suspect Logan is still suffering from a mild case of post-partum blues.

To steal back the spotlight from baby Darcy, Logan is now leveraging his celebrity for charity by competing for the Title of TOP DOG 2009 for Brown Dog Foundation! Their mission is to provide owners in temporary financial crisis an alternative to euthanasia when their pet faces a treatable life-threatening condition in order to restore the quality of life for pet and owner.

I'm a little behind after the wedding-palooza, so here's some random catching up photos.

Auntie Meghan's Wedding Weekend

The big event was this past weekend and Darcy met lots of family and friends there. First we went to the rehearsal and rehearsal dinner. We didn't have to worry too much about how we would eat and drink and give speeches with the baby, she was whisked away from us very early in the night by several lovely baby-lovin folks.

The next day, we scoped out the hotel before it was time to boogie down! We had to show Darcy the Crystal Room and all the fun places from when we got married. Once the wedding got going, we met up with the sitter (hooray!) and had a nice parent's night out.

Before we left, we hit the big Homestead breakfast (almost worth the price of the room on its own!) and said goodbye to all the relatives we haven't seen in forever and plenty we'll hopefully see very soon!

On our way out of VA, we saw some of our Wescott buds for a few hours at the airport and got to get the kiddies to meet up. I was sad we couldn't stay longer, and then all our flights went nutty. So we DID get to stay a little longer (thanks Deana!) although UGH it was a long Monday after our 5:40am flight back to Nashville. Abigail was very excited about the baby, but then she was worried we were going to leave, she was very sweet and funny.

Solid Foods

I had planned to wait until Darcy was 6 months old to do the solid foods thing, but she has been really interested in what we are eating and drinking the last few weeks. The doc gave us the go ahead at 4 months old, so we thought we'd give it a shot, see if she was interested.

She might have needed just a teeny tiny push to get all the way over, but she's about 90% there all on her own! Pretty scary, means I need to start cleaning up the house soon. Meh!!
